Similarities of Music and poem The song I Swear this Time I toy with it is by a band called Mayday Parade. The song is on their Anywhere but here(predicate) album that was released in 2009. This speicfic song has a lot of similarities including poetic catchs, consultation and connotaion and also medicamental presentaion. Poetic devices are very common in music including the song I Swear this Time I Mean it. The first poetic device noticed in this song is rhyme. rime is when two words sound the resembling or have the corresponding ending.
